Willie Williams played high school basketball at Peoria Manual High School under the legendary Coach Wayne McClain who was later an assistant coach at the University of Illinois and Kansas State. Williams won a 2A State Championship in 1995. After high school, Williams served 4 years in the United States Marine Corp as an infantryman stationed at Camp Pendleton, California and Okinawa, Japan. After leaving the Marine Corp, Williams attended Illinois Central College and Eureka College studying Sociology. Currently, Williams is the founder and owner of the not for profit Men's Sunday Basketball League and is the Metamora 6th Grade Boys Basketball Coach. Williams has a passion for helping people and teaching the game of basketball and has hosted numerous free youth basketball camps throughout the community. Williams not only teaches the game of basketball, but the game of life. Williams uses his military principles and background to inspire and uplift the youth of today while instilling integrity, discipline, and hard work. Williams has worked with local youth for over 20 years. Williams’ 2017 Peoria Allstars was the first team to ever win the TBT Jamboree.
