Player Bio

A player at Bradley in the 1960s, Chuck Buescher worked as an assistant coach for the Braves in two stints, 1971-78 and 2005-07. In between, he enjoyed a hall of fame career as a high school boys basketball coach, highlighted by back-to-back Illinois 2A state championships with Peoria High School in 2003 and 2004. In his second stint with the Braves, Buescher helped Bradley to the 2006 NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 and the second round of the 2007 NIT. In 25 seasons at Peoria High School, Buescher led the Lions to a 528-184 (.742) and his list of players included Shaun Livingston, A.J. Guyton and current Bradley AD Chris Reynolds, as well as former Bradley stars and current Always A Brave team members Daniel Ruffin and Marcellus Sommerville.
