Tampa Bulls Beat Kentucky Kings at the Buzzer

By: TBT Staff

The madness in Charlotte continued as Kentucky Kings went up against Tampa Bulls in what was the best game we’ve seen all weekend.

The Kings came out hot in the first half, shooting 55.6% from the field and knocking down seven of their 11 three-point chances (63.6%) to take a 48-43 lead into halftime. The Bulls fought back in the second half, as the two teams went back and forth trading the lead.

It all came down to one final play. With his team trailing by two and just five second left, Tampa Bulls guard Dominique Jones inbounded the ball, got it right back and shook free from Kings defender Jeremy Evans. Jones launched with two seconds left and banked home a three as time expired to send the Bulls to the Super 16.

Evans led the way for Kentucky with 20 point and 12 rebounds. Jones’ 29 points were a game-high and he added seven boards.
