Reach 1 Teach 1 Cruises to 29-Point Win Over Gotham Golden Knights

Gotham was in trouble and they were going to need something heroic if they wanted to survive. Unfortunately for the Golden Knights, Bruce Wayne is not on the roster and this is not a movie.

Reach 1 Teach 1 used a 12-0 run to open the second half to blow the game open and cruise to a 94-65 win over Gotham. Second half defense, particularly down low and on the fast break, plagued Gotham. R1T1 won the points in the paint battle 42-24 and outscored Gotham 20-8 on the fast break.

Joseph Nickerson led a balanced R1T1 scoring attack with a game-high 21 points. Tony Efese chipped in 12 points and four R1T1 players had 11 points each.

R1T1 shot 59.4% from the field in the second half, compared to Gotham’s 31.4%, and 48.6% from the field overall. The Knights struggled to get things going on offense shooting 35.2% from the field and 32% from behind the arc.

Deylon Bovell was the high scorer for Gotham with 15 points and Rishawd Hendricks added 12 points.

R1T1 and Peoria All-Stars will face off for the last spot in TBT2017's Midwest region tomorrow at 11 a.m. on WatchESPN.
