BOX SCORE

After a first-round scare, Ram Nation looked like the Ram Nation we expected to see on Sunday.

It was a bit of a slow start, as PrimeTime Players opened up an early seven-point lead, but once Ram Nation started clicking, you could really see why so many people are excited about this team’s chances at $2 million.

Ram Nation shot well in the first half, shooting 51.4% from the field and taking a 48-40 lead into the break. PrimeTime fought back at times in the second half, but the VCU alumni were able to keep PrimeTime at bay, thanks in large part to the all-around play from Eric Maynor.

The former NBA guard and VCU legend was feeling it from downtown, going 7-11 from behind the arc. He finished with a game-high 28 points, grabbed nine rebounds and dished out eight assists. Brandon Rozzell and Jamie Skeen were also big for Ram Nation, putting up 19 and 14 points, respectively.

Chris Moore led the way for PrimeTime with 27 points and seven rebounds. PTP knocked down 14 threes, but Ram Nation one-upped them with 15 trey balls of their own.
