Peoria Moves on To TBT2017 Midwest Regional

The first spot in TBT2017 was clinched early this afternoon, as Peoria All-Stars shot Reach 1 Teach 1 out of the gym.

The All-Stars knocked down eight first half threes compared to just one on 10 attempts for R1T1. Aldonis Foote was the hottest from deep range, knocking down a team-high four threes (4-6) in a 20-point effort. But Brett Bisping was the biggest story on offense for Peoria. His 23 points and nine boards were both game-highs.

R1T1 shot decently well from the field at 43.8%, but their three-point shooting really hurt – connecting on just 22.7% (5-22).

Not only does the win punch Peoria’s ticket to TBT2017, but they’ll get to play at home with the Midwest regional taking place in Peoria, IL on campus of Bradley University.

I’d keep an eye on The All-Stars. These guys now have two wins under their belt, have had two games to build some team chemistry and are heading back to Peoria to play in front of a home crowd.

Not to mention they’ll get a HUGE roster bump with four or five big-time players waiting to joining the team for TBT2017 play. Combine all of that with the motivation of bringing home $2 million and they could really surprise some people.
