Paul Champions Fall to FCM Untouchables

By: TBT Staff

It was all FCM from the tip this afternoon in Philly, as the Untouchables showed why they’re the number one seed in the Northeast with a 91-57 win over Paul Champions.

Paul Champions really struggled shooting the ball in the first half, largely thanks to suffocating FCM defense. Champions shot just 7-27 from the field (25.9%) and 1-9 from behind the arc (11.1%). Meanwhile, FCM shot 47.4% from the field and knocked down seven first half threes to take a 43-18 lead into halftime.

The second half proved to be more of the same, as the lead ballooned to 40 points. Marcus Hatten was tremendous for FCM, dropping a game-high 25 points on 9-16 shooting. Three other FCM players pitched in double-digits, while not a single broke double-digits for Paul Champions.

The win for FCM means they are the first team to lock in their spot in the Super 16. They’ll have next weekend off before heading to Brooklyn July 20.
