General Manager Jacob Hirschmann named his Eberlein Drive team after his suburban Detroit neighborhood and played himself in the first TBT back in 2014, winding up in the hospital after he was dunked on by former NBA guard “Smush” Parker.

Four years later, Hirschmann and co-General Manager Matt Mitchell have assembled a Regional Champion after Eberlein Drive dispatched reigning West Region champion Team Challenge ALS, 78-67.

“We’re a team built from nothing,” said Hirschmann.

Jerome Randle scored a game-high 29 points, including the Target Score-ending bank shot, to send Eberlein Drive to Baltimore. Randle, who scored 34 points in a Super 16 win over Gael Force, finished 8-for-17 from the field.

“We get the ball to Jerome, and let him do his thing,” said guard Osiris Eldridge.

Taylor Braun contributed 14 points and Willie Reed had 10 points for Eberlein Drive, which captured its first Regional Championship.

Casper Ware scored 22 points in the losing effort for Team Challenge ALS, which was undone by its 26% first-half shooting.
