Team Challenge ALS has been on a mission to return to Baltimore to avenge its last-second loss in last year’s title game. With the nail-biting win over the Sons of Westwood, GM/Guard Sean Marshall’s team is just one win away from a return trip to the Charm City.

Marvelle Harris went 8-for-11 from the field and scored a game-high 32 points as Team Challenge ALS held off a furious Elam Ending rally by the Sons of Westwood and won, 86-80.

Marshall, who attended the same high school years before Harris did, praised his younger teammate.

“He played unbelievable,” said Marshall of the former Mountain West Conference Player of the Year. “I applaud him for that. The rest of the guys... we have to step it up tomorrow (in the Regional Championship).”

According to Harris, the close loss to Overseas Elite in last summer’s title game has been driving Team Challenge ALS ever since, and the team certainly has a sense of redemption on its mind.

“Since we lost, we’ve been ready to play,” said Harris. “We feel like we’re still the underdog. We just want to go out there and compete at the highest level that we can. But...getting redemption...that means a lot. Everybody always wants redemption.”

Jordan Adams led the way with 30 points for the Sons of Westwood, who entered the Elam Ending trailing by eight points and scored the next nine points before eventually falling.
