The 12 country tournament runs through September 3

It may not be an Olympic year, but there's still plenty of international basketball available to hoop junkies this summer. Six TBTers are competing in FIBA AmeriCup 2017, which began on August 25 and runs through September 3. The tournament is being played in Colombia, Uruguay and Argentina. Fans can stream all of the action live on WatchESPN.

While the tournament is no longer used as part of the qualifying process for the FIBA Basketball World Cup or the Summer Olympic Games, it provides a platform for some of basketball's rising stars to compete on an international level. In addition to AmeriCup, which features countries from North America, Central America, the Caribbean and South America, FIBA holds regional tournaments in Europe, Asia, Africa and Oceania.
